Lebanese President arrives for UAE visit
ABU DHABI - Lebanese President Michel Suleiman, arrived here Tuesday afternoon for a two-day official visit to the UAE. He was received on arrival by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Accompanied by Shaikh Khalifa, Suleiman headed to Al Mushrif Palace, where he was accorded an official reception. Canons fired 21 bullets in his honour. Then the Lebanese President greeted high officials, among others, Federal National Council Speaker Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, Shaikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, representative of ruler for Eastern Region, Interior Minister Lt. General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Presidential Affairs Minister Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Foreign Minister Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Shaikh Khalifa also greeted the delegation accompanying the Lebanese President. The delegation includes Lebanese Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Minister Fauzi Salloukh, Lebanese Defence Minister Elias al-Murr and other senior Lebanese officials.
