Landlords to get compensations

DUBAI — Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Industry and Chairman of Dubai Municipality, yesterday approved Dh15.1 million as a set of new payment to compensate landlords for their lands which have been affected by the various civil projects in the emirate.

Qassim Sultan Al Bana, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, said the sum would be distributed among 36 beneficiaries whose real estates have been affected in various areas in the emirate, like Hor Al Anz, Al Bidah, Umm Saqeem, Jumeirah, Qassis, Lahbab, Al Ras, Al Matrina, Eiyal, etc.

He explained that the various concerned bodies were going about completing procedures pertaining to the distribution of the compensation money. Beneficiaries are to contact the department of compensations at the financial department on the third floor of the municipality headquarters building, he added.
