The Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has announced the commencement of field work for the centre’s Labour Force Survey for 2012, which aims to build an up-to-date database on the labour force, exploring their demographic characteristics, categorised by employment status, occupation, economic activity and sector.
The field work, which started on Sunday, will continue for about a month involving a 350-strong team that includes enumerators, controllers, supervisors and administrators, along with other SCAD staff who carry out a range of desk tasks such as data editing and analysis.
The survey sample covers the three regions of the emirate, i.e. Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Gharbia. It includes citizen, non-citizen and shared households, in addition to labour accommodation facilities. The survey targets individuals aged 15 years and above.
