“We wish to organise a fashion show and would like the proceeds to be forwarded to the Abdullah Khan Family Fund,” they said. The project aims to bring together audiences from various parts of Dubai for an entertaining evening so that funds can be generated for Khan’s family.

The group of students from the university said, “Our impetus is entirely non-profitable, and since we read the article, we had strong feelings towards the plight of his family and would like to do our best to contribute in helping his family members, especially his children so that they can be ensured a sound education.”

Describing the design and concept for fashion show they said that Western and Eastern outfits will be included by arranging them through sponsorship with a clothing store as well as models’ own. Male and female models will be selected from within the Dubai students. The show will be presented with a light and sound arrangement along with themed backdrop while the concept will be universal and not selectively themed.

The marketing for this event will be conducted through distribution of brochures and pamphlets and personally selling tickets. Team members handling the project include Amna, Neha, Gurmeet, Janice, Jennifer, Sarah, Mehreen and Faiz.

Generous with their contributions as well as praise for the fund set up for Abdullah Khan by Khaleej Times, donors have dubbed the KT fund a great humanitarian gesture.
