Whether it be Khaleej Times, The New York Times, or The Telegraph, newspapers have always had a place in my house.
From reading the comics at an extremely young age to taking an avid interest in current affairs, newspapers have fuelled my love for politics, science, history, travel and sport. I love the art of the debate and in my competitions, the information that I have gained while leisurely reading the newspaper after breakfast, has provided me with an armoury of statistics, facts and case studies to cement the win for my team and my school.

Furthermore, newspapers provide excellent conversation starters with almost any person. That is what is so good about newspapers. But I think that the most important reason why I love newspapers is the fact that it keeps me in touch with the rest of the world. Here in Dubai, we are lucky to have access to a great standard of life, yet it is important to be aware of situations around the globe.
