KT staffer honoured
ABU DHABI — Khaleej Times' Abu Dhabi Bureau chief, Hassan Rafat, was among the media people honoured yesterday by the Director-General of Interior Minister's Bureau, Brigadier Nassir Salem Al Kherebani Al Nuaimi.
Brig Al Nuaimi honoured the media personalities for their cooperation with the police department while carrying out their duties, especially with regard to matters of security concern.
During the honouring ceremony, Brig Al Nuaimi reiterated the directives of Minister of Interior Lieutenant-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan to enhance cooperation between the police department and the mass media which spreads security awareness among the members of society and various other sectors.
Besides the Khaleej Times staffer, Brig Al Nuaimi also honoured Editor of Abu Dhabi-based Al Ittihad daily Ali Abu Al Reesh, Director of Abu Dhabi TV Ibrahim Al Ahmed, Director of Abu Dhabi Radio Station Abdulah Al Zaíabi and the Century UAE football team striker Adnan Al Talyani.
