The book sheds light on important aspects of the march of progress under Shaikh Khalifa’s leadership.

It focuses on the UAE’s remarkable development under his leadership and the efforts made by him to maintain these achievements.

The book quotes Shaikh Khalifa as saying, “The fruits we have reaped over the years make us more certain and confident about the capacity of our people to carry out the strategies and plans to their intended goals and objectives.”

About the country’s achievements, he observed, “Our people were able to achieve within 36 years the level of progress which was beyond everybody’s imagination. It is a model experience of federation, an outstanding transformation, featuring a modern infrastructure, best basic services, great economic success, prosperity, well-being, and security.”

Measures taken by Shaikh Khalifa to improve the quality of life of citizens, including increase in salaries of civil and military employees in the federal government and the Abu Dhabi emirate were also highlighted. The book provided details about his other orders establishing services and investment institutions and enterprises for the betterment of UAE society.

It also provides glimpses of Shaikh Khalifa’s visits and tours to various places in the country to get first-hand information on the needs of people. During a recent visit to the Al Gharbia in July 2008, he said, “The state will spare no effort to meet all requirements of the citizens."

The UAE’s international cooperation at regional and global levels was also highlighted with focus on Shaikh Khalifa’s meetings, visits, and consultations with the heads of states and governments and senior officials in the world and the region.
