Khalifa to visit Syria, Algeria and France

ABU DHABI — The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will begin a three-nation tour of Syria, Algeria and France, on Sunday it was announced here yesterday.

The president is visiting the three countries at the invitation of presidents Bashar Al Assad of Syria, Abdelaziz Bouteflika of Algeria and Nicolas Sarkozy of France.

During his meetings with the three leaders, Shaikh Khalifa will discuss bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade, investments, culture and technology. They will also confer on the latest developments in the Arab, regional and international arena.

The President will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, Shaikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Economy, in addition to a number of ministers and other senior officials.
