Khalifa receives call from Karzai
ABU DHABI — The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, yesterday evening received a phone call from Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
The Afghan president briefed him about developments in Afghanistan and the outcome of the recently held peace council conference (Loya Jirga).
Shaikh Khalifa praised the Afghan leader for his efforts and for the successful outcome of the Loya Jirga. He also praised Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf for his proactive participation in the conference.
