Khalifa, Qaboos Discuss World Developments
AL AIN - The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman held talks on Saturday at Al Reef Palace in Al Ain, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The three-day visit of Sultan Qaboos to the UAE comes within the framework of enhancing contacts and strengthening cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
The two leaders exchanged views on the current developments, both regionally and internationally, and touched on issues of concern to the two countries and to the GCC and Arab countries.
Shaikh Khalifa hosted a luncheon in honour of Sultan Qaboos and his accompanying delegation.
Earlier, Shaikh Khalifa and Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid received Sultan Qaboos on his arrival at Al Reef Palace.
Also present at the welcoming ceremony were Gen. Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Shaikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, Shaikhs and senior officials.
