Khalifa, Mohammed Greet Leaders on Eid Al Adha

ABU DHABI - The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has congratulated leaders of Arab and Muslim countries on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

In his cable messages sent to these heads of state, Shaikh Khalifa has wished them good health and welfare and more progress, prosperity, pride and glory to the Arab and Muslim nations.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has also cabled Eid greetings to the Arab and Muslim leaders on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Shaikh Khalifa on Sunday received congratulatory cables from a number of world leaders on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

The President received cables from President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, King Abdullah II of Jordan, President Bashar Al Assad of Syria, President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali of Tunisia, Libyan leader Muammar El Gadhafi, President Omar El Bashir of Sudan, President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine, President Isias Afwerki of Eritrea, President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan, and President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan.

Shaikh Khalifa also received a congratulatory cable from Prince Khalid Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Assistant Defence Minister of Saudi Arabia.

Shaikh Mohammed received congratulatory cables from Presidents Mubarak, Abbas and Afwerki. He also received cables from Ahmed Oyahya, Algerian Prime Minister, Mohammed Al Ghanouchi, Tunisian First Minister, Salva Kiir Mayardit, First Vice President of the Republic of Sudan and Ali Osman Mohammed Taha, Sudanese Vice President.
