Khalifa, Mohammed Attend Shaikh Khalid’s Wedding Ceremony

ABU DHABI - The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended here on Monday a luncheon banquet held at the Emirates Palace to mark the wedding of Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan with the daughter of Shaikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.

Attending the wedding celebrations alongside Shaikh Khalifa were His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, and His Highness Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman.

Also present was Gen. Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The wedding occasion was attended by visiting foreign dignitaries, the President of the Philippines Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, former French President Jacques Chirac, and Crown Prince of Bahrain Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The attendees included the crown princes, deputy rulers, other Shaikhs, ministers, senior UAE officials, foreign ambassadors and head of diplomatic missions in addition to the UAE notables. -
