Addressing the workshop, Najla Midfa, Director at the Ajman branch of the Khalifa Fund, said that the fund was established in order to instill and promote a culture of entrepreneurship and to support and develop small and medium enterprises in the UAE.

Khalifa Fund was launched on June 3, 2007, to help develop local enterprises. The fund aims to create a new generation of Emirati entrepreneurs by instilling and deepening the culture of investment amongst young people.

The fund recently opened its branch in Ajman after the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the orders of Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed forces, to expand the fund’s services to cover all the emirates in the UAE. —
