ABU DHABI — The directive of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on supporting the Khalifa International Date Palm Award, was behind the success scored by the award regionally and internationally, according to Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and board chairman of the award.

Dr Abdulwahab Zayed, Secretary-General and Rapporteur of the board of trustees of the award, said after reviewing and sorting out the award entries in Al Ain city, that there were 35 participants , representing 16.
