S.M. Najeeb, general manager, Norka Roots, who is in the UAE on a special amnesty-related mission, said priority would be given to Malayalee people and other deserving people.

Najeeb said some leading businessmen and organisations in Abu Dhabi had agreed to sponsor the tickets.

A committee under the chairmanship of Anzar Chirayikeezhu, president of Abu Dhabi Malayalee Samajam, along with other associations, will scrutinise and identify the beneficiaries, he added.

Najeeb said Keralites living in the other emirates could also approach the association for the free tickets.

Those wanting to avail themselves of this benefit should submit their outpasses and other documents at the Abu Dhabi Malayalee Samajam (02-6671400), Kerala Social Center (02-6314455), Indian Islamic Centre (02-6424488) and India Social Centre (02-6772225), Najeeb said.

The association will decide the departure destination later but they will seek the national carrier, Air India’s services, he added.
