Kalima Translation Work Wins More Accolades
ABU DHABI - Kalima’s Arabic translation of the book ‘The Pharaoh Proust” by the German literary scholar and author Michael Maar grabbed literary and cultural awards in the Heinrich Merck Prize last week, a statement said on Monday.
Kalima is the translation project of the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH).
The translated book was launched by Kalima at this year’s Frankfurt International Book Fair.
Kalima’s publication of the book in Arabic is its first translation, ADACH said in its media release.
This made ‘The Pharaoh Proust’ the fifth book in the collection of books translated by Kalima which won this year’s most important literary prizes.
