Justice Minister receives Afghan counterpart

ABU DHABI - Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Awqaf, received here yesterday his Afghan counterpart, Zubair Abdul Rahim Karimi, and accompanying delegation.

The two ministers reviewed the legal and legislative situation in Afghanistan and the efforts of the Afghan Ministry of Justice for imparting specialised courses to the members of the judiciary.

Projects in Syria

Meanwhile, Saeed Khalfan bin Mater Al Rumaithy, Director General of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, and the visiting Syrian Minister of Commerce, Dr Jhassan Al Rifai, held talks in Abu Dhabi yesterday on the projects, financed by the fund in Syria.

The Syrian minister briefed Mr Al Rumaithy on the progress of work on the projects. The minister also expressed his country's gratitude for the assistance being extended by the UAE to his country. He also praised progress made by the UAE.
