According to the court records, the police received a call from an Asian man who claimed there was a bomb in a hotel. A police task force immediately moved to the hotel and after searching the facility, no bomb was found. The caller was arrested after thorough search and investigation.
On interrogation, he said he made the call out of his desire to get his services terminated from the hotel and return home.
He was referred to the Public Prosecution, which accused him of lodging false report and disturbing the public order. He was sent to the Fujairah Court of First Instance, which sentenced him to six months in jail to be followed by deportation.
