It's logic

THERE'S a severe shortage of staff in the inspection and supervision department of the Ministry of Education. The matter has been brought to the notice of the minister of education, and has also been reported in several newspapers.

And though this is not the only problem confronting the private education sector, it has definitely become a pressing one in recent days.

The fact of the matter is, it is not that insurmountable a problem. Come to think of it, the solution is there right at hand. There is a long waiting list of those who are seeking jobs and it wouldn't be much of a chore to pick some of them to work in the inspection and supervision department.

Those on the list have been waiting for a job for a long time, and it defies logic why the ministry let the problem aggravate, and did not recruit from among this list.

All this is having an adverse effect on the private education sector, and negatively affecting the sector's performance.

The number of private schools has been increasing by the year and it is a fact that the private education sector needs a special supervision and inspection department to cater to its special needs.
