The Indian Space Research Organisation has located the Vikram lander, but is yet to establish contact with it.

The lunar orbiter of the Chandrayaan 2 mission has taken thermal images of the lander on the lunar surface, Isro chief K Sivan said, news agency ANI said. He added that the space agency has not been able to get any signals so far.

The status of the lander has not been confirmed, the report added.

The space agency had lost contact with the lander minutes before it was to land on the moon on Saturday.
