Mohammed Jumaa Salim, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Auqaf, said that the ceremony will be held in mosques and at the ministry's offices throughout the country.

The entire UAE celebrates this annual religious occasion to mark the miraculous heavenly journey of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) whereby Muslim scholars expound to the faithful, the rich and profound meanings carried by the Israa and Mairaj message and its deep effect in inculcating faith in the hearts of the believers.

Shaikh Abu Bakr bin Ahmed, Secretary-General of the Indian Sunni Scholars Society and Secretary-General of the Sunni University Cultural Centre, on Thursday, delivered a lecture at Abdul Khaliq Mosque in Zayed City in Abu Dhabi, in which he spoke on Israa wal Mairaj.

Meanwhile, the final ceremony for Zayed Project for Memorisation of the Holy Quran will be held on September 12. It will be attended by Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Auqaf, and those who have memorised the Holy Quran by heart and to those who have memorised parts of the Holy Book. All of them would be honoured at the ceremony.
