Interior ministry to take part in Gitex
ABU DHABI - The Ministry of Interior is taking part in the Gitex show which opened yesterday to highlight the role it is playing in building inter-community relations to create a friendly social police force.
Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Nasir Al Raisi Director of the Technological Information Abu Dhabi Police, said that the participation at the Dubai computer show comes within the framework of directive of Major-General, Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Under-Secretary Ministry of Interior to project the role of the police in helping society.
The ministry will also showcase its latest project, the National Security Card, a comprehensive identity card for residents of the UAE that will do away with the need of resident permits and other documents. All necessary information about nationals and expatriates will be compiled in this card.
