ABU DHABI — Humaid Ali bin Butti Al Muhairy, assistant under-secretary for corporate affairs and control in the Ministry of Economy, has said that the ministry is monitoring all markets and conducting field visits in all emirates in cooperation with the authorities concerned during Ramadan.
As a result of the inspection campaign, around 41 violations by commercial outlets have been discovered.
The ministry advised suppliers, distributors and traders in the country not to increase prices of services and commodities during Ramadan.
Humaid said stringent punishment could be imposed on outlets for not heeding to the directive.
