In an exclusive with Khaleej Times, Abu Sultan said: " This event is part of the activities we are holding in the consulate to revive our traditional dressing, music, food and allow more interaction between the Palestinian expatriates. The new generation must interact more with the Palestinian culture. Through such events we are declaring that Palestinian expatriates everywhere are still in touch with their culture and tradition."

Mr Abu Sultan added that Israel did not only occupy the land but they also are taking the Palestinian culture and tradition, "El Al Israeli Airlines are dressing their flight attendants the Palestinian traditional dress, they are claiming that some of our traditional dishes are made by them and serving them as an Israeli traditional meal," said the Palestinian Consul.

Mr Abu Sultan told Khaleej Times, commenting on the situation in Gaza strip during the holy month, that despite all the destruction and the killing in Gaza and the West Bank, the Palestinian people will never give up hope and will fight for their rights to live like any other population, "Palestinians in the occupied territories can create happiness because they want to live their normal lives. We would never surrender to hopelessness and we are sharing the same feeling with our families under occupation." said Mr Abu Sultan.

"I would like to thank the UAE president His Highness Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, for all the support he gave the Palestinian nation under occupation, and the UAE people for its help through donations and moral support," added Mr Abu Sultan.

Mr Abu Sultan also mentioned that Dubai has always supported the Palestinian cause through emphasising the Consulates activities in the DPC, World Village, DSF, and other occasions.
