The Indonesian Women Association, in cooperation with the Indonesian Embassy, organised a food bazaar and a handicraft bazaar.
The Indonesian Embassy in Abu Dhabi held a charity and cultural event at the embassy premises in Al Bateen area in an effort to raise funds for the victims of natural disasters in the country.
The event took place from 10am to 3pm on Saturday. The Indonesian Women Association, in cooperation with the Indonesian Embassy, organised a food bazaar and a handicraft bazaar.
The event also saw cultural performances, batik workshops, auction and raffle draw for Garuda air tickets, weekend package at the Emirates Palace and other hotels, dining packages and jewellery. Carrying the theme ‘Your Noble Cause Empowers Their Life’, the charity and cultural event focused on performances, crafts and foods.
Hanafi Athena, head of information and cultural affairs, said the charity and cultural proceeds will go to the victims of the recent Mt Kelud eruption in East Java (February 13) and the flashfloods (January 30).
Indonesian artistes, Dwiki Dharmawan and Ita Purnamasari, performed at the cultural show.
