Indian worker found hanging
SHARJAH — An Indian worker was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his room in a labour camp in Sharjah's Industrial Area No 15. The police said that it looked like a case of suicide.
The 30-year-old man, identified as Mohammed B, worked for a construction company based in Sharjah. He was found hanging at 8am yesterday and none of his roommates were present at the time.
Prabhakaran, a fellow worker of the deceased told Khaleej Times that Mohammed was not suffering from any kind of mental problem. He had been working with the company for the last two years during which none of his colleagues observed any abnormalities in his behaviour. "We can't figure out the reason behind his suicide!" Prabhakaran said.
