Indian worker critical after fall

RAS AL KHAIMAH — A 33-year-old worker was seriously injured when he fell from a height of about four metres while at work in a factory in Jazeera Hamra area here on Saturday evening.

Muni Ratnam, an Indian employee of RAK Ceramics Factory, was working on the night shift when he apparently slipped and fell while operating a machine. Police said they rushed to the factory and shifted Muni Ratnam to Saqr Hospital. Doctors said Muni Ratnam has sustained major head injuries and spinal cord fractures in the fall. His condition is reported to be very critical.
