The minister was addressing a gathering of Indian workers at the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi during a three-day visit to the UAE. He appreciated the contributions of the non-Indian residents (NRIs) from the region to the growth of their country. Krishna asked all the welfare groups to render particular attention to the issues of Indian expatriates in the Gulf countries.

The minister also suggested diplomats, who arrived here from all GCC countries, to dedicate one or two hours every week as an ‘Open Day’ to listen to the grievances of labourers and respond to them quickly.
