Indian duo to enthral music lovers

DUBAI - Just Mohabbat - the pure musical extravaganza by the hit musical duo, Jatin-Lalit, will set the stage ablaze at the Al Nasr Leisureland on Thursday. The event brought to Dubai by Geetanjali and is sponsored by Khaleej Times, GECO, Gemer International and Super General Company.

The evening promises to be a treat for musical lovers in the UAE as India's leading playback singers and music directors will be showcasing their creative forces. At the Press meet held here yesterday, Lalit Pandit, said that this was an honour for them to perform and enthral music lovers in Dubai.

Speaking on the choice of the title for the concert, "Just Mohabbat," Mr Lalit said that the it was befitting because of the musical scores that they had composed for several love stories including hits such as Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein, Khamoshi, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Kabhi Haan, Kabhi Na etc. This is the duo's second visit to Dubai.

Born in the traditional Mewati gharana and sons of renowned classical singer Pandit Pratap Narayan, Jatin-Lalit have a strong base in classical music and have given musical scores in 74 films till date.

Crooning along on the tunes composed by Jatin-Lalit as well as singing her own numbers, Kavita Krishnamurthy is bound to keep the audience on their toes. To keep her company are leading Bollywood singers Babul Supriyo and Richa Sharma. The comedy act will be carried out by Jimmy Moses.

Addressing the Press, Jatin Pandit said that they were bringing a compact team - 18 people in total - to the concert which he promised would stand out just as their music does.

The tickets are priced at Dh250, Dh150, Dh100, Dh60 and Dh30 and will be available at the venue; Al Nasr Leisureland, Sind Punjab Restaurant, Venus Restaurant and Carlton Towers (Aangan Restaurant).
