Images of stamp on phone card

DUBAI — The stamps on the traditional fashion of the UAE issued by Emirates Post recently have been reproduced on the prepaid telephone cards of Etisalat, as part of a new collaboration between the two organisations.

According to a report published in the recent issue of Emirates Post publication Nawafith, more than six million telephone cards will carry the images of these stamps.

Abdullah Al Daboos, Director General of Emirates Post said: “As leading service organisations, Emirates Post and Etisalat haves joined hands to create beautiful telephone cards bearing images of postal stamps.”

“One objective of this cooperation is to promote philately through the widely used telephone cards. Besides, it also aims to encourage people to collect telephone cards which have become a hobby with many people.”

An Etisalat official pointed out that the collaboration with Emirates Post is one of the many ways Etisalat is seeking to make its prepaid telephone cards more beautiful and popular.

“ As Emirates Post has gained a reputation for creating visually attractive stamps, we decided to make use of the images of their stamps to beautify our telephone cards and are delighted with the result.”
