ID pre-requisite for any traffic transactions nationwide
ABU DHABI- The Ministry of Interior has said that ID cards will be required to access any traffic and licensing services throughout the country starting from May 2nd.
Head of Traffic Coordination at the Ministry Brig. Ghaith Al-Zaabi said according to Federal Law No. 9/ 2006 and Cabinet Resolution No. 201/1/ 2007, producing ID cards, as a proof of verification of individual’s identity, will be compulsory for processing any applications for services at all traffic and licensing departments.
Applications submitted by individuals without ID cards will be rejected, he added.
