ICOP predicts Eid Al Fitr on September 10

Islamic Crescents’ Observation Project announced that Friday, September 10 as the first day of Eid Al Fitr astronomically in most of the Islamic countries.

In a statement today, Islamic Crescents’ Observation Project stated that the majority of Islamic countries have started Ramadan on Wednesday, August 11th consequently the 29th of Ramadan will fall on Wednesday, September 8th and on this day sighting of the crescent from all regions of the Islamic world, the continents, Asia, Africa and Europe is impossible as the moon will set before sunset, therefore these countries should complete the month of Ramadan 30 days and Eid will be on Friday, September 10th, 2010.
