Director General of IAT Abdul Lateef Al Shamsi told Khaleej Times that he had signed a memorandum of understanding with Paul Sellers, UAE country director for the British Council under which the latter will give access to the Council’s facilities and resources to the IAT to conduct training programmes and conferences.

“The two bodies pledge to boost joint cooperation for the development of English language. The British Council will also assess English tests for IAT students,’’ he said.

According to him, the strategic partnership provides an ideal opportunity for enhancing communications with the British educational institutions.
