IACAD continues “Used Clothes Bank” Initiative

Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) is continuing its “Used Clothes Bank” initiative, which has been launched for environmental and philanthropic causes.

Abdullah Al Khubbi, Chairman of Event and Donation Licensing Section, stated that the department out of its social responsibility, goals and functions had launched “Used Clothes Bank” initiative, which aimed to reuse the used clothes for charitable and environmental purposes.

The department has distributed containers to collect clothes in Dubai mosques. The revenue of the initiative has been already used in other charitable projects, such as sponsoring patients’ medical fees, indebted people, elderly, and people with special needs and the initiative has provided needy people with clothes.
