Dubai Meteorological Office duty forecaster Amna Yasin said the city's temperatures yesterday were slightly lower than expected, peaking at 43 degrees Celsius due to the early arrival of the sea breeze.

However, inland areas still recorded high temperatures with Minhad at 51 degrees and Sharjah 47 degrees.

Abu Dhabi experienced some haze early in the morning yesterday due to high humidity. However, visibility dropped to 5km.

Yasin predicted that for the remainder of the week, evenings and the early hours would see humidity rise to 70 per cent.

Humidity during the day would be about 30 per cent.
