HSSC students fare better in Pak exam

DUBAI — Pakistan’s Federal Board of Intermediate Secondary Education, Islamabad, yesterday announced the results of Higher Secondary School Certificate (Grade XII) examinations that were held in April this year.

Samina Nasser, Principal of Pakistan Islamia Higher Secondary School, Ajman, said, “Overall, students have fared extremely well this year. The level of difficulty was quite high. In fact, the question papers — principles of accounting, physics and chemistry — were very tough. However, the students’ performance was satisfactory.”

In Pakistan Islamia Higher Secondary School, Ajman, Abida Abdul Karim clinched the top position with 851 marks in Science. Sana Shoukat Ali came second with 821 marks followed by Muhammad Moeed Ahmed with 800 marks.

In Commerce, Iqra Abdullah stood first with 822 marks followed by Samra Riffat with 729 marks and Zahra Rais, 698 marks.

From Shaikh Rashid Al Maktoum Pakistan School, Dubai, 94 students appeared in the exams and the pass percentage was 91 per cent. The students of Commerce group posted 100 per cent pass result. In Science, Sehrish stood first by securing 767 marks, followed by Sidra Aijaz with 762 marks and Maleeha Arshad with 761 marks. In Commerce, Fatima Saleh Muhammad came first with 746 marks, followed by Hina Javed with 744 marks and Shehla Ashraf, 721 marks.
