Children’s tickets that come with a wrist band include a number of free attractions and activities. Termed as free rides, the games and rides can keep children occupied for a good many hours without having to spend on additional facilities. Entry to all the zones is inclusive in the ticket charges.
The trip begins from the Central Hall itself where a huge puzzle cube has been placed for the children to play with. There also are free abacus games as well and children get a chance to play some brain teasers here.
The Arts and Crafts Zone, also in the Central Hall, offers a number of creative activities and puzzles for children of different age-groups. Everyone is invited to test their brain power by solving these. A major attraction here is the newly introduced Building Blocks or Under Construction area. This highly engaging activity provides the nuts and bolts to build furniture, forts and fantasy structures.
Also in the Arts and Crafts Zone is the Bubble Bursts of Fun where kids are invited to become “bubbleogists” as they can experiment with making bubbles of different shapes and sizes using such materials as wire, tubes and strings.
The Inflatable Zone area in the East Hall also hosts a huge netted jumping arena for children to freak out for hours on end. Visitors also have the option to sit in the library with some of their favourite books. The choice of books ranges from story books in both Arabic and English as well as books on general knowledge, aptitude and computers. You can leaf through the books on the comfortable premises of this colourful library.
The mini stage where shows and entertainment events are held daily is open for everyone without additional charges. The stage hosts shows several times in a day.
The Modhesh Superstar Zone and the Sand Zone also offer hours of entertainment and activities for the kids free of charge. Children also have an option to listen to colourful stories in the Story Teller Zone. Story telling sessions are held several times a day in both English and Arabic and no additional tickets are required to attend the same.
Kids can also learn the basics of road safety in the RTA Zone and get the lowdown on driving all for free. The initiative has been introduced by RTA to create road safety awareness among children as well as adults and what better place to begin this than Modhesh Fun City—a fun place for people of all ages.
This year, the venue of the Club’s activities is the Modhesh Fun City at Airport Expo Dubai where the Club will operate till August 24 during weekdays from Sunday through Thursday from 10am to 4pm.
