The announcement was made by Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President, Chairman of the Emirates Camel Racing Federation and of the higher organising committee of the festival.
Shaikh Sultan greeted the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the occasion, thanked Gen Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed for his supportive initiative and Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, for following up on the event.
He hailed the success of this year’s edition of the festival which attracted more than 60,000 Emirati and expatriate families.
Shaikh Sultan noted that the UAE leaders who provide full support to the country’s rich heritage are following in the footsteps of the UAE founding father, late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The festival illustrates that the UAE’s development and progress has not been a coincidence but a legacy of the forefathers’ inspiring achievements.
