Heart symposium begins in Dubai

DUBAI — The second International Saudi German Hospital (SGH) Heart Symposium began at Dubai Meriden Hotel on Monday.

Held under the patronage of UAE Minister of Health Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qutami, the three-day conference is discussing the latest medical achievements like stem cell therapy, percutaneous valve replacement, surgical treatment, coronary stenting, ‘beating heart off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting’ and other updates in the medical treatment of heart diseases.

The opening ceremony was attended by Engineer Sobhi Batterjee, president of SGH Group, and a number of prominent cardiologists and cardiac surgeons from the Middle East.
