Hearing held in intentional killing case
DUBAI — The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance on Thursday heard the case in which A.S. is facing the charge of intentional killing and stealing and I.N. is facing the charge of causing harm to another person in the Manama area. The next hearing will take place on March 5, 2008.
On January 4, 2007, a brawl had erupted between a 23-year-old student A.S. and his brother R.S. on one side and 22-year-old student A.L. and 18-year-old salesman I.N. on the other. All are UAE nationals. During the brawl, which soon turned into a violent fight, A.S. asked his younger brother to get a knife from a nearby supermarket.
In his statement to the police, I.N. had alleged that A.S. ran after A.L. and cornered him behind a car where he repeatedly stabbed him. I.N. also admitted punching A.S. and causing physical harm to him.
