Dr Tayeb Kamali, Chair of the Conference and Director of ADMC said: "This is an important event that has something for K-12 educators, those in higher education, government, military and industry."

He added that experts from around the world would be present at the college during the event to discuss the latest technology and pedagogy of e-learning. International speakers such as Ganesh Natarajan, founder of Aptech and Zenzar Technologies Limited, and Dr Brian Lindquist from the University of Phoenix, the largest on-line university in the world, are expected to add unmatched case study experience to the event.

Dr Raymond Ravaglia, who founded the Education Programme for Gifted Youth (EPGY) at Stanford University, will add expertise in the K-12 area, while Dr Stanley Knight from the University of Southern Queensland, who is well-known locally by teachers pursuing online degrees, will also present his comments.

Dr Kamali explained that e-learning was a new development in education and that recent advances in technology had made it attractive and accessible to educational institutions and corporate training departments.

Developments such as broadband technology have allowed the Internet to be the medium of choice for e-learning content delivery, and have also helped meet the demands of modern society, which required 24/7 access to learning, Dr Kamali noted.
