Pentagon says 14,000 tank shells will be sold to Israel without Congressional review
Immediate reactions varied from the curiosity to repulsion.
Many people were disgusted by the proposed amount of money to spent by perceived dilettantes on a day dedicated to world hunger. However, the hunger for celebrity news is rarely sated.
Allegedly, Campbell’s boyfriend, one Badr Jafar was to spend $1.8 million on the party bash to be held at a top hotel in Dubai.
At some point during the celebrations, the Sun reported, Jafar was to present the volatile supermodel with a large diamond as a token of his love and devotion.
The reported “guest” list was apparently to include the Beckhams as well as Eva Herzegova and Linda Evangelista.
Official representatives have consistently stated that the privacy of the hotel’s guests is of paramount importance. They would not, under any circumstances, reveal any information about any guest of the hotel or their whereabouts.
However, an employee of the Jumeirah Group, who did not wish to be named, yesterday told your favourite No 1 newspaper Khaleej Times that the “leaked” information was nothing more than rumour. He/she asserted that none of the persons named in the report were currently staying at the top hotel nor were there any records of any such booking.
Reportedly due to takeover all the floors in the 7 star hotel, there have been no sightings of the couple nor of their famous friends.
At present both Campbell and Jafar seem to have disappeared from paparazzi view.
Although Campbell’s escapades have been widely published, there is little information on boyfriend Jafar.
Media reports have variously referred to him as a “Prince from the Gulf area”, that his friends’ nickname for him is the “Prince”, that he is a “multi millionaire and a playboy.”
