Hamdan vows loyalty to leadership

AL AIN - The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Saturday received Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, and Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler.

During the meeting at Al Rawdha Palace in Al Ain City Shaikh Khalifa blessed the decision of Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid to appoint his two sons, Shaikh Hamdan and Shaikh Maktoum as Dubai Crown Prince and Dubai Deputy Ruler respectively. He wished them all the best in their new assignments.

Shaikh Hamdan vowed his preparedness to be in service of the UAE and its prudent leadership. He vowed to Shaikh Khalifa and Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid that he would always be loyal to their leadership and follow their guidance to please God and achieve the aspirations of the UAE people.

Shaikh Khalifa hosted a lunch banquet in honour of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid and Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid.

Present at the meeting and the banquet were General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; Shaikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region; and Lt-Gen. Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior.

Also present were Shaikh Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works; Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs; Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister; Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Department of Civil Aviation and Chairman of the Emirates Group; Shaikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority; Shaikh Ahmed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum; Ahmed Jumaa Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs; Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director of Dubai Protocol Department; and other senior officials.
