Hamdan okays Dh432m infrastructure projects

DUBAI - Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, has approved a number of infrastructure development projects in Dubai to be executed for a total amount of Dh432 million.

The projects are part of the Dubai Municipality’s policy of providing basic services to develop to the highest standards the necessary infrastructure for the residential and industrial areas in the Emirate of Dubai.

The projects include sewerage network and storm water drainage network for the Dubai Academy City at a total cost of Dh298.317 million. The project is to be completed within 544 days.

They also include sewage processing plant for the labour housing facilities at Al Ruwayya and Dubai Central Prison areas. The two projects are to be completed in 180 days at a total cost of Dh23 million. Shaikh Hamdan, who is also the Chairman of Dubai Municipality, has also approved bids for the main irrigation network project in the Al Aweer area at the cost of Dh111.551 million.
