Hamdan briefs cabinet on visits to South Korea, China and Japan

ABU DHABI - The Council of Ministers held its weekly meeting here on Monday under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Shaikh Hamdan briefed the Cabinet on his visit to Korea, China and Japan that took place earlier this month.

During the meeting, the Cabinet approved three memoranda, the first endorsing bilateral health cooperation protocol with Syria while the second was on the structural reorganisation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.

The third memorandum was regarding amendments in the Federal Law No. 4 for 2000 on the commodities and stock market.

The cabinet also discussed a memorandum from the Federal National Council regarding recommendations on the performance of the ministry of water and electricity and the General Authority for Water and Electricity.
