HAI delivers 20,000 Iftar meals at Al Aqsa

Human Appeal International (HAI) has delivered 20,000 Iftar meals to fasting Muslims at Al Aqsa Mosque within the framework of its programme to deliver 150,000 Iftar and pre-dawn meals during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Ibrahim Al Rashid, Director of HAI’s West Bank Office, said that they have so far distributed between three and five thousand meals a day at Al Aqsa among fasting Muslims .

He explained that as well as the humanitarian element of providing the meals, HAI enables Jerusalem Restaurants to prepare food in order to improve their economic situation and alleviate the burdens on restaurants suffering economic blockade conditions.

The Jerusalem Islamic Waqf expressed thanks and appreciation to the UAE leadership, its people and its charitable institutions as they are always willing to provide all the needs of the people of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
