"This is crucial to the future academic and professional success of students," said Anselm Godinho, Managing Director, International Conferences and Exhibitions, the organisers of the exhibition.

He said that over the past 15 events, GETX has welcomed the participation of premier institutions from across the world and witnessed the growth of the education sector in the Middle East. "We expect the 16th event to be an important link in this development."

Participation this year includes a large number of institutions from around the world and the Gulf region. The first, private Liberal Arts University in Kuwait, which is to open doors to the students in September 2004, is among the major participants. The American University of Kuwait (AUK) is an independent, private, equal opportunity, and co-educational liberal arts institution of higher education.

"At GETX 2004, we will seek future applicants to the universities' various courses. We expect keen interest from students searching for quality American education, without having to leave the region," said Sean Dollman, AUK's Director, Admissions and Registration.
