Guess who’s coming to visit?

DUBAI — All offices in the Ministry of Education witnessed an unusual attendance of all officials after working hours yesterday. The extraordinary attendance was due to a rumour of a possible unexpected visit to be paid by the Minister of Education Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan to the ministry’s offices.

Shaikh Nahyan had presided the first meeting for Zayed University Council at the university premises located near the ministry building. Then the rumour mill began to churn and it was heard that he would very likely pass by the ministry.

Top officials immediately requested all departments to stay on till the “possible sudden tour” was over.

Some officials had lengthy meetings with their subordinate administrative staff.

One department head said he was reluctant to leave the meeting to obey the call of nature lest the minister turns up during his absence.

The anticipation was strong as a result of the past abrupt tours paid by him to Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah educational zones.

In this context, all other educational zones are on the alert for the recent unforeseen tours of Shaikh Nahyan.
