The scheme also shows how well aware the leadership has been of the people's needs, and that such an understanding comes about not by words and slogans alone but by action.

The efforts being made by the Director General of the scheme, Faisal Al Gurg, and his team cannot be overemphasised. A number of citizens have benefited from the opportunities made available by the scheme, after the last distribution of grants and loans.

We would like to suggest here that a certain proportion of the houses should be allocated to those whose houses are in a dilapidated condition. We would also want to emphasise that the allotment of houses should not be on the basis of rotation and date-wise.

There are houses with their roofs threatening to fall down on the heads of those taking shelter under them and such people are in dire need of new houses. They just simply cannot wait for their turn.
