Two British expats told Khaleej Times that they have checked out of the hotel where they had been provided free accommodation.
"We are moving back today," a woman resident said.
Thirty-five-year-old Omar from Lebanon, who lives on the 19th floor, is thrilled to return to the building and start "normal life".
"The temporary accommodation was very comfortable, I didn't feel the pinch," he said. "The authorities took very good care of us."
A British man, who lives on the 28th floor, also checked out from his hotel and moved back into the tower today.
